Seeds of hope – partners for climate justice appeal

“Becks has been the designer for the Presbyterian Church in Wales denominational appeal for Christian Aid’s work on climate change in Kenya and Honduras, in which they aim to raise £250,000. Not only is she a great designer – producing a poster, factsheets and social media graphics in line with CA’s style guide but still managing to bring a freshness to the work – she’s also a great person to work with. On time and on point, Becks has produced great work. We would love to work with her again”.

Seeds of hope resource design

The campaign core illustration and resources

The campaign resources were designed as part of a two phase climate justice annual appeal. They focus on adaptation initiatives for survival in Kenya and Hondura, to support the communities on the frontline of the climate crisis.

‘Seeds of hope’ shines a light on the vital work of Christian Aid and their partners in empowering women and their communities ‘to nurture their environment and mitigate the impact of climate change’.

“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches.”

(Matthew 13:31-32)

I loved creating the bold illustration for the core campaign artwork; a resilient seedling bursting into life. The illustration was created in the charity’s brand colours and illustrative styling.

The campaign resources included the design and development of bilingual factsheets, social media assets, posters and presentation slides.
